Luis J. Rodríguez' will read from his latest volume of poetry, My Nature is Hunger, at Both Sides of the Border, a major exhibition of Latin American and Chicano art held at Carlotta's Passion Fine Art in Eagle Rock, California. Exhibiting artists include Francisco Zuniga, Jean Charlot, Wilfredo Lam, Gronk, Patssi Valdez, Frank Romero, Gilbert "Magu" Lujan, Diane Gamboa and dozens of other talented artists.

My Nature is Hunger
The first poetry collection in five years by Rodríguez, the book includes favorites from his previous three poetry books - Poems across the Pavement, The Concrete River, and Trochemoche. Also included are 26 new poems that reflect his increasingly global view, his hard-won spirituality, and his movement toward reconciliation with his family and the past. Attending the reading will be artist Mark Vallen, who created the oil painting that appears as the book's cover. Prints of Vallen's painting will be available for sale at the event.
